Jordan Jonas

Grew up in Idaho, rode freight trains across the country, then spent many years in Siberia with fur trappers and Evenki reindeer herders.

The first Alone winner to truly thrive: he took a moose and a wolverine and caught hundreds of pounds of fish. He has since guided nearly 500 people into the wild.

On guide-led trips, Jordan spends the first day with every group on his Montana property, teaching the core skills he wants you to carry into the wilderness.

Tom McElroy

More than 20 years teaching survival to over 15,000 students.

Spent a full year in his twenties living entirely off the land: building shelters from the forest, making fire by friction, finding his own water, and feeding himself by hunting, fishing and gathering. He has learned from Indigenous communities around the world.

Ryan Maguire

Ancestral-skills instructor and endurance athlete. Has led 28-day desert survival courses and spent a winter living in a Rocky Mountain cave.

Ben Jonas

Jordan's older brother. Ben completed Alone: The Beast, living off a musk ox in the subarctic for a month with no tools or gear.

He spent the better part of ten years riding freight trains around the country and living outside, and he has helped guide since the very first course.

Rich Jessop
